I had one last night with Cheese Whiz and hot dog relish on it. That took a while to digest (urp) - now I remember why I don't eat hot dogs often.Anybody doing hotdogs for the super bowl? This thread got me hungry,so I had them two nights in a row..think I am good on hotdogs for a few weeks,at least..
been a few weeks since the great hot dog debate, and I went with slaw dogs for dinner tonight! very good, the crispy cabbage along with the tang of the dogs, and the hot mustard I used, was very good..thanks Sunny!I like my hot dog grilled to a nice char, with mustard, chili, slaw and onions.
No, mayo on fries is better than ketchup. They do that in France according to an ex-GF.You ARE a weirdo Marsha! Mayo on fries!!
Always happy to help......glad you liked thembeen a few weeks since the great hot dog debate, and I went with slaw dogs for dinner tonight! very good, the crispy cabbage along with the tang of the dogs, and the hot mustard I used, was very good..thanks Sunny!

wait a minute, are you talking about polish sausage DK? Haven't had that in several months, but that is good too, usually boiled, then with or without sauerkraut, but definitely mustard..any kind, and my god it is delicious, lots of fat but tasty!I like polish dogs, if I can get them. I haven't found a good polish dog in damn near a decade though, so I stick to a brand from Whole Foods.
My favorite way to enjoy a hot dog is with ketchup, mayonnaise, (yes, mayonnaise.) sauerkraut, and dill pickle relish. Dill pickle! None of that sweet relish for me, thanks.
The runner up is, of course, a chili dog. Cheddar, no onions, an ice-cold beer and...Pure Heaven.
Yes! Kielbasa,in the crockpot,oh my god..I think people are too focused on eating healthy, and fat is actually good for you,in moderate amounts..and kielbasa is definitely tasty..You talking Kielbasa?
I haven't had that in ages. I feel better, now hungry.
Used to make a big ole mess of of browned pork chops, hot dogs, kielbasa, sauerkraut and potatoes in a crock pot.
Took it out the the garage to cook all day. Because, phew. Nobody wants that simmering in your house all day. Had to put vinegar on top of it when it was done.
Because I am elegant like that.

Is there such a thing as a nice hot dog or sausage NOT made with pork?Yes! Our local gas station used to make these, along with the traditional dogs. I used to get the mild-spicy Polish dog and fix it up like I described, and it felt like heaven in my mouth. I have yet to find a polish sausage that meets my standards after those gloriously greasy, just spicy enough rolls of perfection.
There's this...Is there such a thing as a nice hot dog or sausage NOT made with pork?
I love kubassa but I have a friend who cannot eat pork and I wish I could find a place that sells nice sausage without any pork in it.
