...I have noticed over the years, that the so-called "cast-offs of society", are truly some of the sweetest souls among us...I learned that by not only meeting thousands of people in my radio career, but in watching patients and families as a nurse...just because you wear good clothes and have a primo bank account-doesn't qualify you as a good'un on the Giant-o-Meter...
Local biker clubs around here do so much for so many. Awesome sight to see a caravan on the highway as they do fund raisers for many causes.
Our local bikers do a toys for tots every year. Then Dirks Bentley does a biker run for St. Judes every year.
I know many bikers are so generous in raising money for charities… now, if only they'd tone down their engines and be more charitable to our ears!
A local biker club here raised money for a single mom with no insurance in her 30's raising 4 kids and working a full time job who found out she had breast cancer.
My sister is a biker, though you wouldn't know it to look at her. She's a straight-laced executive, not what you'd expect a biker chick to look like. More days than not, the riders she hangs with are doing charity work for local hospitals, blood drives, etc. There may be some Sons of Anarchy out there running guns and killing people, but I don't think that's the standard.
