Hello everyone! Just finished reading Doctor Sleep. Does anyone else think it's possible that Danny Torrance and Dick Hallorann are related? In the book, Dick mentions "black" grandpa & "white" grandma to a very young Danny. At first I thought he meant black grandpa=bad magic / white grandma=good magic. But now I wonder if he didn't literally mean white (Caucasian) grandma. This may mean it would be possible for the two to be distantly related? Anyone else?

I wasn't sure, to be honest...and had to look see...and was ready to cash in what chips I had as I indexed her as "White Gramma"...thing I do...til I found that on page 11.
...but that's not to say they aren't related.

What does anyone think about that line I quoted above? When I first read it...I thought the answer was no, she was not white/Caucasian...but reading it again...I dunno. Seems like one could argue either way. I think her name was Rose. Good name.
