4 pages a day, every day for a year turns into 1,460 pages. That's alot. Subtract the two days off a year that King gives himself (birthday and Christmas) that still leaves a lot of pages. Even after editing, etc. that might whittle page count down to 1,200, which is worth two or three novels.

But what I don't get is that he says he's generally slowed down. That he wrote a lot more in the past. Is that really true though? It seems as much is coming out as ever.

Bassist Joe Bouchard remembered the producer requesting his brother, drummer Albert Bouchard, play the cowbell: "Albert thought he was crazy. But he put all this tape around a cowbell and played it. It really pulled the track together." However, producer David Lucas says that he played it, a claim supported by bandmember Eric Bloom.
