I had the wonderful opportunity to take a vacation to San Diego this year, courtesy of Kevin's parents. Apparently, this is an annual family event, but they skipped in last year because Kevin's mom was going through chemo. She graduated from her cancer treatment, and is in full remission! To celebrate, they rented one of those multi million dollar vacation homes on Pacific Beach in San Diego, and invited Kevin, Alex and I (Daniel had school and work), as well as Kevin's sister and her husband. I haven't been on vacation since my early twenties, and it was my first time meeting Kevin's parents. Alex is their first grandchild (he comes with the whole package when you accept me into your family), and boy, did they love him! He was spoiled to death! I will attempt to categorize the pictures.
These are of the first few days: us getting adjusted, looking at our surroundings, and having fun. Kevin built a sand castle with Alex, and it took him all day. He is very proud of it. What is not pictured, is my self taught surfing lesson. I would have had better luck if I weighed about 75 pounds fewer, and if I was the least bit in shape.
