I read this in one sitting, one summer night in college. I think I picked it up around mid afternoon and the next thing you know I was done (bawling my eyes out, and the birds were chirping and my roommates were getting up for work).

I was about 17 when I read this book, and it remember being totally captivated by the characters and the story. At that point in my life, it was the best book I had ever read. Time for a re-read, but I need to finish From A Buick 8 first. :)

I have to re read that one soon, it's been way way way too long for me! I actually, DONT HAVE IT right now so I better be on the lookout for a copy!

You read it in one night and it took King three unremembered in-a-drunken-haze days to write it! Cujo wanted to be a GOOD DOG for THE BOY.

My first instinct when I finished Cujo was wanting to close the book, jump up and down on it, tear it into little pieces and light it on fire. It certainly was a good story, which is why I had such a strong reaction, but that ending. Grrrrrr. I felt like Cujo myself, I wanted to take some bites out of it.

Took me almost 20 years to re-read it and I had the same reaction the second time.

As I recall... it's been years... I read Cujo in one sitting, too.
I think it is time I reread this one.
