I love the books too.I do not watch tv but I dearly love reading the series. Diana Gabaldon is one amazing writer.
Her voice is somewhat similar to Margaret Atwood's, strangely enough.I love the books too.
There were and will continue to be changes from the original books, but D. Gabaldon has given it her blessings thus far.
She is a fan of the show and made an appearance on season 1.
No, not yet! I hope to get it watched today while the kids are at school.Have you had a chance to watch this, Tina cat in a bag ?
It was. My SO actually sat and watched it with me. He'd stopped being interested last season a few episodes from the end but seemed interested again so am hoping that lasts so I won't be hearing the muttering under his breath while I'm watching them. No, not yet! Was it good??
Scott lost interest too last season. I thought he would enjoy it more. He is home today, so I may have to sneak off downstairs to watch! It was. My SO actually sat and watched it with me. He really must not have paid much attention to the few episodes he did watch, I was talking about it coming back on the other day, and seems like all he took away was time-travel. He said, "Besides, Sean Connery is the Outlander." I said, "Sean Connery is the Highlander, sooo not the same thing!"
Sean Connery is Bond, James Bond.
She also has a very long left leg because someone keeps pulling it.Claire has a long neck..........
Oh and I haven't seen it yet either......
Agreed about Tobias Menzies. It's been a while since I read the books so was a little confused about the first episode and whether that's how it had been written but haven't gone back to reread it.My SO thought they missed an opportunity when they didn't replace Frank's face with Jack's when he got angry with Claire and nearly got physical. He also thought he was a rat bastid when he burned the clothes while she was still there. I couldn't believe as a historian that he didn't just donate them to a museum but I guess burning them was a way of making sure that there were no physical reminders for him or Claire of her life with Jamie.
Thanks! I kept saying to my SO that I didn't think that was how the book had been written. Good to know my memory wasn't as bad as I was thinking it was.Ms. Mod, remember in the beginning of Dragonfly in Amber, they started off in the 1960s with Claire and Brianna visiting Scotland and seeing Roger Wakefield to find out what happened in Culloden and whether Jamie survived. When Claire goes back to 1948--how the s2 premiere started--that gets explained later on in the book
I really loved the premiere. I also agree about Tobias Menzies as Frank/Captain Randall. He's perfect for the role. I just can't wait to see how this season unfolds!
