Where are they going to film the movie? Never heard where. Desert shots most probably in Australia maybe or America. I thought his casting was unusual, but sometimes things like that can happen to turn out right.

It's starting to overtake religion and politics as the most likely subject to start an argument.

You may be petitioning to close the stable door after the horse has bolted, but I applaud your efforts. I think the world has moved on from that particular bone of contention (at least to some degree) and it's the plot/story/timeline changes that are keeping the heat turned up.
Also, while it would be kind of cool if it was shooting in Jeopardy I believe the cameras are due to start rolling in South Africa in a few weeks time.

I wonder if this is to do with how incredibly weak the Rand is at the moment making RSA a cheap place to film?
In part and tax credits are also a big incentive, but Steve had told me that he'd been told there are parts of Cape Town that can pass for NYC so may make it easier to shoot scenes there.

Interesting - we have a tax credits support scheme in the UK, but are weak on desserts! Cape Town is supposed to be amazing - I would love to go there one day.

From what I'm reading about South Africa, it looks like there is a wide diversity of geography so that they wouldn't have to travel (relatively) far to film scenes that require cities/desert/mountains/and ocean which would also help keep costs down.
Rand? Are they the coins with The Good Man's face on?
It also borders Namibia which might be useful for shooting the deserts/wastelands. That’s where they shot Fury Road.
This is true...maybe SK will need to visit the sets/locations and take his PA with him?? Once in a lifetime opportunity there so take it if it's offered...

I wasn't campaigning for it but Steve already said (when he told me where it would be filming) that he wouldn't be doing a set visit for this one. It would be an incredible opportunity, though. Hmmmm....maybe he'd like to send his PA there as his representative. 
Perhaps Ms Mod can do the cameo bit for this one. She could play Rhea of the Coos.
