The guy never looked the picture of health, I knew there was something wrong, I figured it was booze and food. He was a great actor and could do a lot with a little.

Still very sad, though.Great artists are always kinda jacked up. It's the energy they use to provide their art.
Sad news about Hoffman. Proves again a self-evident truth: don't **** with the White Lady. White Lady always wins.
This was on TV here yesterday. In respect I had to drop what I was doing and watch the parts that he was in. Tragic loss!Yeah, loves his bit part in red dragon, one of my all time faves!

What I find a bizarre twist-Is that he was supposed to be picking up his three kids. Which just goes to prove, I do not think he meant to overdose.
He might not have done it intentionally. That's the problem with illegal drugs, you never really know what you get, and it can be mixed with all kinds of chemicals. Most of the heroin ODs in Norway come from unclean drugs. What I find a bizarre twist-Is that he was supposed to be picking up his three kids. In Norway, too. So many people die. But they will use what they can get their hands on.Like I said earlier in here, there is some nasty poison going around here in NH pretending to be Heroin.
Cold Mountain was definitely one of his best (and one of my favorite movies).I will miss him. Loved his performance as Truman Capote. Loved him in Cold Mountain too.
I forgot about that one!He was great in The Talented Mr. Ripley- so subtle in showing how smart his character was in this film- watch it again and you can see in his eyes that he is adding it (the inconsistencies in Ripley's stories) all up. Brilliant turn in this role!
