This reminded me, back in the day when it was okay to give your dog steak bones, we gave one to my poodle, Coquette. She would take it to the couch and there was usually a blanket on there. She would dig and bury and nose the blanket and nose the steak bone and dig and scrape and shove and then lay down right next to her hidden treasure, which was in full view of everyone. And it didn't help matters that she kept looking at it, and then looking at you, and then looking at it. seriously? We all see it.

I think it's still okay to give steak bones, just not chicken or pork bones? Not sure. This reminded me, back in the day when it was okay to give your dog steak bones, we gave one to my poodle, Coquette. She would take it to the couch and there was usually a blanket on there. Cindy had a thing for bread. We always knew where to find it when it would go missing even when we had it up where we thought she couldn't get to it. She would bury the loaf still in its outer plastic bag down between the couch cushions although not when we could see her. She never ate it so no idea why that was what she had a thing for but I guess she thought we did. Some sort of game for her, I guess, and we always had a chuckle about it.This reminded me, back in the day when it was okay to give your dog steak bones, we gave one to my poodle, Coquette. That is hilarious! I wonder why she liked to bury it? Maybe she was guarding you against carbs?Cindy had a thing for bread. I used to give my big baby boy those big knuckle bones,he loved those things, kept him out of trouble for hours,i only let him have it when i was around to keep an eye out.i sure miss him.Raw bones are best (as once cooked they become brittle) and I've heard that the safest is the beef canon bone. My auntie's Great Dane died post op' after a bone she had eaten twisted her intestine, I've never given dogs bones since then.
