I had the stomach flu all weekend; I'm better now my stomach is still messed up. Pisses me off because mom is making fried catfish tonight, my favorite.
I had this around Christmas time (I think my son brought home some germs or maybe it was my hubby) - Anyway we had to buy something called Kaopectate which helped quite a bit.

Sorry to hear you're 'under the weather'.

The good thing is that I didn't have it as bad I had it a couple of years ago, that was so bad I was bedridden for two weeks and this is really gross but I had blood in my stool the whole time. My stomach felt like how I imagine someone with stomach cancer must feel.

I had a client ask me to take 2 inches off her daughter's hair. I asked her what her version of 2 inches was and she showed me 6 inches. I then showed her the inch marks on my comb. She was shocked. Then she looked at me with a twinkle of understanding and said "No wonder I've been disappointed my whole life."

So today, when I changed my profile Pic on Facebook, Mary commented "your eyes are red".....
to which I replied that I'd just bought a new 6 inch set of shears, and she should thank her lucky stars that she doesn't have a flat head......

It was that little interchange that made me wonder if I'd ever told the story here.
I had to go a long way back to find your story - but  That was great!!

I was sizzling some salt pork/fat back (slices) to make my quick fix green beans tonight and marveling at the wonder of bacon and pork fat in general. I keep a can of it in my fridge. And I didn't have much left after I scooped some out for the beans. But then, as always, the amazing pork fat made more. I used most of what I had, and yet finished up with way more than I started out with. And I thought of y'all dear Tet. What a fantastic random thought I had to share. The beans were divine.

I guess you will be happy to learn that I've returned from the "dark side" (the side without bacon). Started eating ham, pork and bacon again recently. - I missed it!

I used to write song parodies when I was a kid. There's a girl who posts them at one of my favorite websites, but no one reads or replies to them. She's basically just wasting her time. People don't like to see their favorite songs ruined because it's tacky.

I guess life is a process of trial and error to see what works and what doesn't. I wrote hundreds of poems before I realized that very few people read poetry and almost no one buys it. We have all done things that we're not particularly proud of. Remember Maximum Overdrive? We have to phase out activities that waste our time and focus on more productive things that bring us results and eventual success. Focus on our strengths instead of continuing to do things that we maybe like but aren't particularly good at (like Michael Jordan playing baseball)... or things that other people aren't fond of.

Sometimes you don't choose a living or profession. It chooses you. If something is meant to be, then it will happen. That applies to most things in life.
