Have had a birds eye view (literally) for the past week of a pair of mourning doves who have built a nest in the tree in front of my balcony. They don't seem to be in the least bit phased by my being right there so am still able to get outside to enjoy some fresh air. According to Google, the eggs should hatch within 14 days so might get to see the chicks before I head home. Maybe I should consider a side hustle and set up a web cam. Here's a pic of what I'm assuming is Mama from a couple days ago.

Do you think if the entire state of Wyoming suddenly grew massive spider legs, walked across America towards the Atlantic Ocean, then situated itself in the middle to become and independent island, people would notice? I don't think so, no one notices Wyoming.

Oh, I grok. Been interested in the occult/mysteries/cryptozoology/ghosts/etc since I was a kid. I would sneak into my Mom's bookshelf and read the books she had on these topics. By the time I was in Junior High I was a bit of an expert. You should see my library of books on these subjects. I might even have a few of the ones you bought! ;)
I managed to find them, cool stuff. Although something I did notice.

Some bird was sitting on top of our garage yesterday, don't know what it was, but it sure was cocky. My cat Hobbes is a bit of a doofus, he rarely catches anything no matter how hard he tries, save for a little bird about a month ago, which I assume was being especially stupid. This bird clearly noticed how hard Hobbes was trying to jump up onto the garage (even though I've seen him climb it before), it was hopping up and down while squawking at him, t-bagging him as if it were g**damn Call of Duty. I was afraid the bird was either going to fly too close to the sun and get himself killed, or possibly managed to peck Hobbes on the head before flying away, so I grabbed Hobbes and put him inside. That bird will learn some day, when someone's else's cat was a little more cunning than he imagined.
