You should read Joe Hill's story from Full Throttle called "All I Care About is You" if you like science fiction

No, this is not the reason why the Board is being shuttered. It's being shuttered because I am retiring at the end of June and there will not be someone replacing my position. It was, however, part of the reason why we reduced the hours from the former 24/7 that the Board was open to only being open when I am on duty and the evenings of those same days. I felt it was unfair to the volunteer moderators to be asking them to put in more time than I was, particularly on the weekends when they should be able to enjoy their free time.
I'm glad you did it this way - it's better to wean us all off slowly so the shock isn't as great :)

Your expecting reason from The Guardian Marsha? :) Hahahahaha. They wouldn't know reason if he was sitting in their front room, hahahah. The media over here want any excuse to bash someone, its actually really disturbing. I bet the writer of that article hasn't bothered to find any other interviews with Steve which explains it, but than again, that would be journalism, something we haven't had in a while.
When I was over there my uncle read The Guardian but after I came back to Canada I subscribed to emails from The Scotsman - when he asked me why I said "They have a better website" - so what is the difference? Is one more conservative and the other one liberal?

I agree about doing it this way.
I'm pretty sure some of us are still gonna suffer from varying degrees of shock. It's going to compare to quitting a lifetime of drugs cold turkey.
I'm glad Frank has the playground. It will ease the pain a bit.

Conservative or Liberal, it doesn't really matter, they're all liars. But I don't really use papers.

I'm going back about 15 years - maybe things were different then (you were much younger) :smile-new:
(plus my uncle was in his 70s so he was used to reading the paper every day)

But just think what it would be like if one day we log into the SKMB and only this appears – nothing else, and without warning...

What drama! It would be an epic ending to it all. :)
