Reading ref in the story

King often has his characters reading in the novels... I was pleasantly surprised to turn the page and find Dan had picked up a John Sandford Lucas Davenport novel to pass the time in his room. I have been following this series for years...

Has this happened to you, King included books you were already reading?

In Bag of Bones Mike's wife was reading an Evelyn Waugh novel. I've only read Brideshead Revisited but I've been looking for a copy of Of Human Bondage.

King's characters often read titles written by other King-created characters; writers such as Denbrough, Beaumont, and Paul Sheldon.
