The shelves at Walmart in the salad area kind of looked like a plague of locusts had taken over.

Did you rub lettuce on your face? Put lettuce over your eyes watching the Jets game?
From what I've heard about how lettuce gets e coli, it probably can cause pink eye.
I'm thinking coleslaw - having a hankering for a salad so might have to settle for that.I bought two packets of lettuce for the T'giving salad. One was romaine. Okay, fine. Frisbee that one to the trash. But the other was "field greens." I'm safe.
Looked at it Wednesday evening as the food prep begins. First ingredient: romaine. Frisbee that one too.
Pasta salad for Turkey Day.
You want me to try the lettuce? or just start a rumour?I read there is an all clear on Romaine.
Someone go try that and report back.

I had it in both eyes once - it was terrible but because I was in the military they made me feel like I was malingering. Pretty sure I got it from borrowing another girl's spare towel at the gym when I forgot mine - yuck - won't do anything like that again!LOL.
'searchin' their eyes and lookin' for traces of what I'm dreamin' of.'
Pink Eye sounds more like a nightmare than a dream.
I ate some a few nights ago and am having a hard time harnessing the anxiety right now. Trying to tell myself that I'll be okay because it was organic (but in this case, the chemicals probably would've helped).
For taco tuesday, I'm going to soak my lettuce in Tequila . That should take care of the E coli and make the tacos better.
You're good, man.I often like to recall romaine lettuce. Especially the first time I had a caeser salad with the garlic, coddled egg, mustard, and anchovy dressing. Mmm...good recollections indeed!
