Am I the only one who was reminded of the pit mine/slaves part of the Territories in Black House when they got the glimpse of "the other side"?

...yep, and yep again to Bosch...Yeah,The Big Combination that Lord Manshun tries taking Ty to in Black House.
Finally: what I did find troubling is how much I found myself worrying about Mr. King over the course of this story.
I finished Revival yesterday. I enjoyed it. It's so early after release, I don't really want to say too much. One thing I will mention is this: Maybe it's just blatantly obvious to some, but I found it a nice subtle reference that the maiden name of the Mary character's mother was Shelley. Nice touch SK, especially given that character's role in the story.
Question about the timeline:
The climactic events at the cabin take place in summer, right? Jaimie says he went to Terry's afterward then back to the ranch, where he finds Hugh and Georgia dead.
But he also states, maybe a page before, that they died just before Christmas.
"Before going back to Nederland - where I "would" discover that Hugh had killed himself after murdering Bree's mother"
He's writing that bit 3 years after the event at Goat Mountain Resort . "AFTEREFFECTS" - " Those things happened three years ago" ........"Shortly after Christmas last year,Hugh phoned Bree's mother and asked her to come to his office..." .So basically 1 and half + years after the event. Hope this answers your question.
Mistake.I'm not arguing btw. Just trying to help.
don't use the word "mistake" again though, that's my kryptonite
Aaaarrrggghh I'm melting.Mistake.
I'm getting confused with what you're asking now. From my last 2 re-reads now,the timeline I'm getting is. The event on Goat Mountain was August1st 2014,He visited his brother Terry almost immediately after. Then he went to Nederland before Christmas WHERE he learned that Hugh had killed Bree's mother.
I've read your posts again, and the bits of the book that are relevant.
Here's a statement by me wrote the same way and hopefully you'll what I mean.
"JFK was shot on the 22nd of November 1963. ......I visited Dallas in 1962 WHERE he was shot"
It's the WHERE in Revival not WHEN
i.e "Before going back to Nederland - WHERE I would discover that Hugh had killed himself"
I'm not arguing btw. Just trying to help.

Mistake.
Then my work here is done.Aaaarrrggghh I'm melting.
That's my point. King gives a definite "when" that the murder/suicide occurred at Nederland: roughly a year and half before the time the narrator is discussing it -- three years after the events on Goat Mountain.
However, he suggests that the murder/suicide happened within a few months of the events on Goat Mountain when says, between the dashes -- "where...".
The timeline is: 1. August events at Goat Mountain. 2. Visit to Terry's 3. Back to Nederland, where Hugh and the secretary are alive and well, presumably. Makes no sense to mention the murder/suicide in that context.
I don't think your Dallas example is the same. First, your entire perspective is looking back, whereas the narrator had not even mentioned the murder/suicide at that first point. We learn a page later that those events happened at least a year later, while the punctuation (dashes) in his example suggest that the murder/suicide happened in 2014.
