    I enjoyed the book, not my favorite but still good. I've read that many felt it was scary and I just didn't find it to be that for me. However at the very end, what did those dates mean?

    Hi and welcome, I think you may be talking about the dates that Stephen began and ended the writing of the story, he does this with most of his work.

    I believe the dates refer to his laundry: when he sends it out and when he picks it up.
