I used to sit curled up in my father's lap watching the Beverley Hillbillies with him (it was his favorite show). As sad it is, her passing brings very fond memories of being with someone I loved. Thanks for all of your work Mrs. Douglas!
She was the last of the cast still living, right? Recently watched a few episodes with my daughter. R.I.P.

But, as The Man just pointed out to me, he wasn't a Clampett, he was a Bodine (Cousin Pearl's son, don'tcha know? HAHA).

R.I.P. Ellie Mae. She looked like a neighbor girl who all the guys were hot for but could never dream of being with. I mean this literally as well as figuratively.
I used to watch Beverly Hillbillies reruns when I was a kid and I really admired "Ellie Mae". She loved her "critters" so much! I wanted to grow up to be pretty like her and have my own animal menagerie like she did. 
No she died long ago. 1973.
You may be thinking of Golden Girls. Estelle Getty played the oldest but she was the same age as most. Only Betty White is still alive from that one.

Ellie Mae and Jeannie (sp? and aka Barbara Eden) were my two earliest TV crushes. Thank you, Ms. Douglas, for the entertainment and the memories.
