Perhaps, or maybe a son’s efforts to get some credit for his dead father. And it’s not the first time for Led Zep. Just ask Jake Holmes... He had to go to court, also, to get the credit due.

7 Songs That Led Zeppelin Ripped Off : Exclusives : Music Times

Yes, Zep, like all other artists, have "borrowed" parts of others compositions.

This case, to me, is a non-starter. Except for that first appregiated part the songs are drastically different. We'll see how the jury feels.

So today's Record Store Day haul included:

Hendrix's Electric Ladyland on electric blue vinyl.

John Carpenter's Lost Themes II on purple and white swirl vinyl.

Thelonious Monk's The London Collection Volume 3 on clear vinyl.

Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Kiss My Amps Volume 2 on 180 gram vinyl.

I'll post pics in the near future.

Last year's releases were much better, IMHO. There were a few cool things this year but not as much variety as last year.

Rock on \w/

I think AC/DC and Axl are seeing the $ signs. I'm sure it will be a very big deal. I wouldn't be surprised if there is a live telecast at the end of the tour and a blu-ray and a live album. It's only 10 dates and they can probably make a bundle with the novelty of having Axl on board. It will probably work well as long as Axl doesn't implode. I wouldn't mess with those Auusie guys if I was Axl - they hit back. ;-D

The Black Keys said they regretted inducting Steve Miller into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame after Miller let loose with an expletive-laden rant against the music industry. Well, darn, I somehow missed the expletive-laden rant! I listened to Miller's full induction speech, all thanking his influences, and remarks afterwards, mostly complaints about the Hall of Fame's policies. I didn't hear a single expletive or anything else I considered out of line. I call this false and misleading, and am quite put out about it.

Steve Miller: This Whole Industry Is F--kin' Gangsters and Crooks | Rolling Stone

They are probably referring to this. I think there was another interview or two like this.

It's Official: Axl Rose To Front Ac/Dc On Upcoming Tour - Blabbermouth.net

Ok, this is just.....ummmm....weird?

I was hoping these rumors were false. Why Axl of all people? I don't see the logic. Why not go with a younger guy? I see this thing being........

I'm not sure I understand the choice of Axl Rose. You have someone like Brian Johnson who is so dedicated to the fans and you're considering replacing him with someone like Axl Rose who is......not so fan friendly I guess you could say? I just can't see Axl Rose reacting very well to the first person who tells him he's no Brian Johnson.

Angus, Angus...what have you done?
You sold out, man...and I can`t believe it.
This will destroy their legacy, already has.
THE biggest mistake in rock history EVER.
I guess it`s time to change my avatar, `cause AC/DC is no more....:(

The Hollywood Vampires are playing a local spot on July 1. The group includes Alice Cooper, Johnny Depp and Joe Perry. Tickets are $49.40... Hmmm, low enough to be intrigued into going. Decisions, decisions.
