Sad Movies

I might sound like a wimp saying this, but the ending of Escape from the Planet of the Apes was pretty damn sad.

Spoiler

The two main characters are shot dead in cold blood, as well as what the audience is lead to believe is their baby. If I hadn't accidentally read spoilers before the end, I would have been completely shocked.

A lot of people thought The Fault in Our Stars was sad. I just thought it was corny. It was awkward because I laughed at bits I wasn't meant too. I swear, towards the end of that film, sometimes the dialogue was completely blocked out by people crying and blowing their noses.

The Perks Of Being A Wallflower - Watching a high school kid struggle with depression and other issues was very sad. Logan Lerman is phenomenal in this movie. There is enough humor to help balance things out but it's still tough to take.

There's something special about this movie. Both Christopher Reeves and Jane Seymor give wonderful, compelling performances. The description of the movie makes it sound cheesy but it's not at all.
