I know I had never seen anything about this movie before we watched it. But, I had to of, right? Otherwise, it's just way too creepy that I dreamed of him.

(In all seriousness, this has happened way too many times for me to consider it a coincidence anymore!)

I think I've told this story before, but this movie stuck with me.

We watched it at my inlaws house when it was first out on dvd. I had never heard of it or seen any trailers for it. The first glimpse of the Creeper guy really scared me.

Months before, I had a terrible nightmare. Starring the Creeper guy! (Remember I had never heard of this movie before we watched it.) I woke my husband up, I was sitting up in bed, pointing at the Creeper and screaming, still in the grips of my nightmare. He was even after a family member in my dream, just like in the movie.

So, he did freak me out.

I know I had never seen anything about this movie before we watched it. But, I had to of, right? Otherwise, it's just way too creepy that I dreamed of him.
You shoulda sued them for stealing your nightmare!! ;-D

Lets go outside the US. The Italian director Dario Argento has made some real Creepy and scary movies. The best, IMO, are Deep Red, Suspiria and Tenebrae. Also Polanskis Repulsion (french), also the japanese originals to The Ring, Ringu, and The Grudge , Ju-on, which definitely are scarier than the american version.

Oh My God! Have you checked the children had me running aroung the house like a maniac.

Old throwback movie here, but atmospheric and scared me when I was little --

The Innocents starring Deborah Kerr.

The kids in this movie were amazing. The boy was also the head kid in Village of the Damned.

" What shall I sing to my lord from my window?
What shall I sing for my lord will not stay?
What shall I sing for my lord will not listen?
Where shall I go when my lord is away?
Whom shall I love when the moon is arisen?
Gone is my lord and the grave is his prison.

What shall I say when my lord comes a calling?
What shall I say when he knocks on my door?
What shall I say when his feet enter softly?
Leaving the marks of his grave on my floor.
Enter my lord. Come from your prison.
Come from your grave, for the moon is a risen.
Welcome, my lord."

Children of the Corn is a scary movie as well because there's something scary about kids because they think they are different to adults, like adults are another species. I don't know what Stephen King movie is the scariest, I know(IMHO) that Pet Sematary is one of KIng's scariest books.

I know some will disagree but the creep factor of that movie and book is pretty much off the charts. Even if movies effects suck or the actual movie itself is cheesy, the actual plot can be really kind of bone chilling. Plus, there's this.

If this isn't creepy I don't know what is.

I was a wee lass when it first aired, but the very first Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episode called "Bad Dream House" freaked me the heck out. I was terrified of it when I was a kid; very Shining-like as they buy a really big, really old and really haunted house. The voice of the house convinces them to try to kill one another and they discover an Indian Burial Ground in the basement. Marge yells at the house that they are going to have to learn to get along, and the house chooses to self destruct rather than live with them. Funny ending, but I was a young kid at Halloween and used to lie in bed wide awake wondering if my family was tiptoeing around the hallway brandishing knives xD
