I'd like to see Mike speaking to the old man about the past big events such as the Bradley gang massacre, the Blackspot fire, Ironworks explosion. They could film small vignettes as flashbacks. Patrick should be a part of it somehow, can't see anyone including
him suffocating his brother or him pleasuring Henry
but maybe the fridge scene. I'd like to see the scene where the young lad who run away from home got killed.
As good as Tim Curry's Pennywise was, I'd like to see his suit the traditional silver like the book.
2 things I think should stay gone are
Tom beating up Bev's friend and Henry poisoning Mike's dog
The history of Derry stuff will likely not make it to the film. It can be alluded to, scenes of Mike writing in his journal, look over a collection of newspaper clippings, etc. The most one can hope for is that it'll be made as a separate special feature like the Watchmen movie did with Under the Hood and Tales of the Black Frieghter.
There needs to be. The Original "It", starring John Boy's Mole, was not good. Tim Curry was fabulous. I hope he does the new one if there is a new one.
I think the sex in the sewer scene is also incredibly important, but in a movie they should probably just hint at it. And I agree, the massive bird chasing Mike was always one of my favorite scenes!
Rumors of a remake have been circulating for years. I wish we could finally get a definite yes or no. I'd totally be down for a remake because I hate the original.

The scene where they watch IT land in the forest during the vision when they're down in their club house. That i think is vitally important. There's so much in the book that they couldn't put in for time sake.
