Scotland has an ancient history, with many fables and interesting characters. How good would it be to base a story/book in Scotland. I'm certain it would be a winner.

It would definitely make a good story.....What's keeping ya from writing one?Scotland has an ancient history, with many fables and interesting characters. How good would it be to base a story/book in Scotland. I'm certain it would be a winner.
I will recommend a movie instead: Have you seen Trainspotting? Set in Scotland, grim but excellent movie.I'm on the second in Jack Whyte's Guardian's series--the first was The Forest Laird and the one I'm on now is Robert the Bruce. And if you read romances, there are more Scots than you can shake a kilt at--lol. Any good Scottish authors you can recommend?
...oh BS, you just wanna go for the libations...I so much want to visit Scotland someday. Such an old country with so much history. I think I could easily spend a few years there.

Trainspotting shows the underbelly of Scottish cities but is not representative of 'normal' Scots. Its a bit of an embarrassment.I will recommend a movie instead: Have you seen Trainspotting? Set in Scotland, grim but excellent movie.
