The only people who seem to pick up on my being from Newfoundland are people who have lived there as well.Wow....you must be the exception. All my relatives from St. Johns said it like that...I did too but it was a little milder lol. When I get in with my newfie friends I tend to say me instead of my. I like the accent though. I have not lost it not wish to except for a few words here and there. It sounds lovely. I like the sorta Irish accent from St. Johns and the Irish coast.
That is so. For some funny reason, people assume I am from the South. No clue why......The only people who seem to pick up on my being from Newfoundland are people who have lived there as well.
