And, I just looked this up. The orange pips (seeds) that Eustace Carmichael receives? THat is from an Arthur Conan Doyle short story, The Five Orange Pips. There are little easter eggs all over this thing.

I'm hooked. I really love this show. I can't crochet while watching though. I had to pull out two rows of my afghan due to dropped stitches.
Requires full attention to catch all the hidden clues and oh, those one liners!
Yes and like when he's on the phone or examining a body there are text lines on the TV so yes, eyes on the screen. I fell asleep during the third episode so I'm going to have to watch that one again, which is totally okay with me. And yes there are Easter Eggs all over the place. I LOVE THAT! I think Sir Arthur Conan Doyle would approve.
So, did anyone watch this past season? I thought it was terrific. Probably one of the most intense seasons for me. I'm still on the last show. I am getting so nervous, I have to keep stopping it and walking away. And sometimes that break will last a week! I only have 30 minutes left to watch of the last show, but I watch it like I am peeking through my fingers. Only, my fingers have a pause button.

I caught the first one -- wow!! That was a real shocker -- but missed the rest. I keep asking B to dub off a copy of the whole season. You'd think that him working at a PBS station would make it a breeze. But, no. I can't get him to remember to do it! :/
You have to finish viewing the other two-- all connected. Triple wow factor.
I just think they picked the perfect people to play these characters. I did finish the episode. Now, I will watch it again all the way through without pausing.
