Hi All,

I have two signed Stephen King books, a special edition Under the Dome (the one that came in a purple slipcase with a set of cards) that I got into a bidding war over and a first edition 'Liseys Story' that I got as a wedding present from the wife.

I'm always on the hunt for more, if only I had more money!

Just wondering what signed books you guys all have (if any!) and how you got them.

I have one SK signed copy - TGWLTG. I obtained it through a Haven Foundation fundraiser. I picked it up for my wife who didn’t appreciate it, even though she is a huge fan of his writings and has every book of his. She said the only thing she would ever hope to get from him was a personalized message in a book… a mere signature didn’t matter. She always felt his writings spoke directly to her and it would be amazing if he actually DID ‘speak’ to her. The book sits somewhere collecting dust.

She was laying by the pool Saturday reading The Outsider when it started to rain. She grabbed her phone and ran under the porch. She looked back and saw the book laying by the lounge chair. She ran back and retrieved it. She was dismayed that with so little rain getting to it, that the cover (not the slipcover) immediately started disintegrating and the edges were all frayed. I think she was hinting that I needed to replace it for her bookshelf after she finishes reading it.

I get what she's saying, as a huge fan I'd love a personal message too but I cherish the signed copies I have and If she ever needs a new home for her one let me know!!;)

Its your mission now to get the one that was damaged in the rain to Stephen himself so he can write a witty 'rain related' message to her, there's a joke about leaving the outsider outside there somewhere.

That would be an exercise in futility. ;)

LOL... Nah, I've given up on the idea of ever getting her one with a personal message. The man is getting up in age and has given so much to us all already... I figure he's got much on his plate already, and let him enjoy doing just what he wants to do.
