Oh wow! I would have probably just died right there on the spot. Just knowing that he came down to say hello, that is just WOW! Please tell him I say a big hello and a huge thank you for everything. :love_heart:
Will do. :smile2: Don't think I'll ever stop being upset with myself, though, for the missed opportunity for all of you. :(

Okay, my friends, just got home from the Missoula event!! What a very special night it was! I got to meet our lovely and gracious Marsha and also the very special Tina (cat in a bag) and her hubby!! Steve and Owen are so funny together! Steve looked good and was quite hilarious but I think Owen got the biggest laugh when, during the question and answer time, Owen read a question that someone had submitted which was 'Who is your biggest influence?' to which Steve started to answer but Owen said loudly 'Iknow who yours is- SATAN!' and Steve busted out laughing. I was able to give Marsha a gigantic hug before the event started and a few other hugs from a couple of members here that asked me to- Scott GNTLGNT , Flakes FlakeNoir and Linda king family fan . Marsha is such a lovely person and so sweet. We also met Marsha and Tina and her hubby afterwards so we had a nice time visiting and getting to know each other. I hope I didn't take too much control of the conversations but I was just so darn excited to meet all of my SKMB friends!! There were 6 in my group of friends that came with me from Spokane and we scored three signed books between all of us! A lifetime of memories were shared last night and I will forever treasure them all! Thank you so much, Marsha, for making it such a wonderful evening!! Here's Marsha and I:

Oh my gosh, you are adorable! For some reason, I pictured you shorter! And Marsha never ages. I think she is secretly Cher.

I had such a great time with all of you. This stop will always be one of the fondest memories of the tour. I wish we could have had more time together but we'll just have to make sure we get another opportunity. Pinky promise! :biglove:

We are also home safe from Missoula!

Oh my friends...I had such an amazing time. It is something I will never, ever forget getting to experience.

I saw our Marsha walking around the theater before the event started, so waved to her and got to meet her and give her a hug and chat for a few minutes before the event. And that is when Dan (krf) and his friends happened to arrive, so more hugs and introductions and smiles and laughs were had. It was so great to meet both of them!! I was so nervous beforehand. I am just a small town girl! But nervousness was SO not necessary, it was like we had all known each other forever!

The event itself was just so much fun. Such a thrill!! They each read a bit from the book and then sat and talked. They played off each other so well, the back and forth, the ribbing, it was just so obvious the love and mutual respect they have for one another. It was truly an amazing experience.

Scott had a really good time as well. It made my heart so happy. He worked so hard to get me there and it just made me so happy he was there with me. :)

Meeting up with Marsha and Dan and his friends after was really icing on the cake. Everyone was so lovely and nice and the conversation flowed so easily. Thank you, Moderator for spending that time with all of us, we enjoyed ourselves so much!

I enjoyed myself so much, in fact, that I completely forgot about taking any pictures!! If there are any regrets, it is that I did not get any pictures of myself and Marsha and Dan!! It did not even dawn on me until later. I was so enjoying myself and trying to soak it all in that I forgot to get any pictures!

It was just an amazing, unforgettable, once in a lifetime experience and I am so happy I got to do it. I did not get a signed book, but I would not trade what I did get for anything!! :love_heart:
It was wonderful to meet you and Scott, too! I didn't even think about pics until later myself, but I don't like having pics of me taken anyway. Marsha and I only took a couple of pics together. In the other one my eyes are half closed. What a night, eh?!! ;-D

Same here about the pics! I didn't remember until Dan asked to have his picture taken that I wanted one with you and Scott. We'll just have to do this again sometime, somewhere. What I'm kicking myself about even more is that I didn't think to text Steve to tell him where we were seated at the restaurant as he came down to say hello but couldn't see us behind the divider so went back to his room. He wasn't sure if he would make it down or not so I hadn't said anything and just assumed he was too tired.
ERMERRRRRRRRRRRGERRRRD!!!! :icon_eek: I would have peed my pants!! We did see Owen sitting by himself the next morning eating breakfast. We decided not to intrude on him....:grinning:

Wait.. Marsha is on the tour?

I grew up in Western Montana, but further south in Bozeman~right in the heart of ski country. I heard an early blizzard came through (not surprising for MT~I once drove in a blizzard on the 4th of July). I sure hope Stephen & the rest of the crew were able to stay safe and warm. I’m sure they’ll be stoked to get to Sarasota.

...cool beans!...I needed this smile today guys....so glad you all had a blast....and Dan?...nice to know what my soul bruddah looks like, even if he is nearly eclipsed by the grace that is Marsha.....
The key word is......nearly. ;;D Glad I could bring a little happiness your way, Scott. Seriously, I can't hold a candle to Marsha. She is grace personified, as you know. I am so very glad that this opportunity came my way and that I was able to go and see Marsha, Steve and Owen. Still wish I had gone after him when he was leaving the dining room after he finished his breakfast- I had his two books in my room and could have gotten siggies but I didn't want to intrude. I did get Marsha to sign the books that were dedicated to her. Told her in 50 years some ancestor of mine will be on the Antiques Roadshow with them as an 'association' piece! ;-D She laughed!

They made it out fine. The snow came later on.

I attended the Naperville stop on the tour and enjoyed every second of it. Not really bombed about not getting a signed copy just glad to have been in attendance. I wish I could have been at a smaller venue. The college had a lot of students who did not even seem remotely interested. Why come? lol...Great experience. I will never forget it.
The Missoula event was held on campus but the crowd really was into it. I will never forget the sound of a woman squealing as she stepped out the main doors after the event was over and discovering that she got a signed copy. 'Eeeeeeeeeeeee! Eeee! Eeee!!!!!! Eeeeee! OH MY GAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!!!! Eeeeee! Eeeeee!! OH MY GAWD!! Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!' It was so funny.
