I would not care a hoot about a signed book. Just to be able to see and maybe have the chance to shake his hand would be more than good enough for me.

I have passed on all of the information to her regarding what happened, so please be assured that she knows.BTW: I already said that Marsha knows part about all this, because when I finally left the building, I called her to wish her safe travels and to say Hi to Spidey and Hoss.
I explained the situation somewhat to her, but it was late, I didn`t wanna keep her up, I was in a hurry myself, understandably, but she is aware somewhat of what happened.
Again, I thought the board needs to know about it and I don`t think that was wrong.
Whatever advice I get from her (or not), will be much appreciated.

Like I said in my post about the Toronto stop, on page 21 in this thread, obviously they were giving out some raffle tickets when they scanned your ticket for the show.
Except that I didn`t get one, the girl who scanned my ticket only wished me a great time, no additional ticket was given to me.
Regarding sentence number four in your post above - yes Srbo is a real heartbreaker - he is very handsome in person and his photo does not do him justice!I think I know what happened. I looked at the photo you posted and you have an exceptionally beautiful smile. It's quite charming If you smiled at the woman who scanned your show ticket, she may have forgotten all about giving you a raffle ticket. I know that if you had smiled at me, I would have become a bit flustered and I probably would have forgotten to give you the raffle ticket lol.
The actions of the people who were handing out books is understandable. If show tickets weren't collected when books were handed out, anyone could have joined the line twice to get books.
Yes, he does. It has many times been a point of contention because of posting things that shouldn't be public knowledge and then we get to do damage control. He's been better of late as I have tried to explain to him how much of a problem it can be when information is leaked that shouldn't be public knowledge yet.You should put this website on your 'favorites' list as he gets information at times before it's allowed to be posted here.
I'm sorry you were subjected to this because of an oversight on the part of the person checking you in. I may have misunderstood as I thought you had told me that you did get a book, although it wasn't a signed one. Is that not correct?BTW: I already said that Marsha knows part about all this, because when I finally left the building, I called her to wish her safe travels and to say Hi to Spidey and Hoss.

But he's the boss and damage control is probably assumed in the the job description.Yes, he does. It's not Steve who has to do the damage control. But he's the boss and damage control is probably assumed in the the job description.
I bet he doesn't get threatened with the chainsaw and wood chipper.
I was referencing you in the damage control statement. It's not Steve who has to do the damage control.
I meant the boss being threatened by someone on his staff who will not be mentioned. And I'd rather not know what the 'other ways' are. I'm already afraid of traveling anywhere north of Massachusetts. I prefer not to have to rule out all of New England for fear of fallout. If you mean Lilja about being threatened--I wasn't sure if he'd get the reference, but I do have other ways
and we've mostly come to an understanding over the years.

Please don't think that I am blaming you in any way, but there have been a couple of items (different editions of books, etc.) over the years that have appeared on Lilja's site that I would have never have known about otherwise and would have missed out on the opportunity to purchase them to add to my collection. This is what I was referring to in my post. I agree that he shouldn't post something like the title and/or release date of an upcoming book until it's posted on the SKMB.Yes, he does.
