I had one of the worse evenings in a while. My new orphan cat,Twix, ran out the door and took off on me. It would not be a biggie if it were summer but this is Edmonton in winter. Dark and snow on the way...snowing now. It would not take long for a little cat to freeze. We walked all around for hours and hours calling her name and shaking bags of treats. No joy at all. I was crying when it started to turn dark and then the first snowflakes starting falling. I went inside to grab a warmer coat intending to look around in another block and started praying to St. Anthony saying..."Tony, Tony come around....somethings lost that can't be found. I was desperate. I walked outside intending to head out again and I looked by the fence. Twix was crawling under it and running towards me. OMG what an evening. Thank you Tony!

Thank God your little cat is safe - that is such a great ending to your story - I was afraid Twix was a goner. Has your cat been outside before? My two cats never go outside (they wouldn't know what to do out there)
I was going to post their picture from my computer but I can't - I'll have to look up the instructions later (Jordan posted something about it).

Is Twix a male or a female?

Twix is a female. I took her and her brother in when their owner did not want them. She was an outdoor cat then...but not now. I lost Herk last year....he was my lil love and I did not mean to have more cats...but they needed me. She is now lying on my bed all cozy lol.

On the old board you said you were lying in bed and stroking your "pussy" (meaning cat where you came from!) Good old Newfoundland - you must miss it
p.s. still haven't figured how to post a picture from my computer yet (if I click on the picture icon it wants a URL)

...my dear beautiful Noof...the heart sank and then leapt for joy for you!...so glad your cuddle buddy made it home...Gan does watch over the little critters and their "people"...and for the record, I did not make one wisecrack about the whole "pussy play". Thank you....and good night...

Lol, we say pussy. As in ...pussycat pussycat where have you been. Nothing wrong with a lil pussy.
My baby boy, Buzz, is getting more affectionate as he gets older. I just can't imagine losing him. He just turned 4, and my life would be so empty without him. I rescued him when he was about 4 months old. Staro, I'm so glad Twix came back. Is Twix a left or right Twix by the way? Lol.

The woods are lovely dark and deep
Staro- so happy the kitty is safe. Been there with lost kitties. Thankful prayers to St. Anthony.

I always pray to St. Anthony when something important is lost. Sometimes it takes awhile, I 'spect he is very busy, but he always comes through for me.
