I had one of the worse evenings in a while. My new orphan cat,Twix, ran out the door and took off on me. It would not be a biggie if it were summer but this is Edmonton in winter. Dark and snow on the way...snowing now. It would not take long for a little cat to freeze. We walked all around for hours and hours calling her name and shaking bags of treats. No joy at all. I was crying when it started to turn dark and then the first snowflakes starting falling. I went inside to grab a warmer coat intending to look around in another block and started praying to St. Anthony saying..."Tony, Tony come around....somethings lost that can't be found. I was desperate. I walked outside intending to head out again and I looked by the fence. Twix was crawling under it and running towards me. OMG what an evening. Thank you Tony!
St. Jude comes good again!

On his shell he holds the earth.
I'm so glad you found her! The love of my life, Mathilda, once ran outside and I didn't know until the next day. I was terrified when I woke to find her gone. She's a purely indoor cat. After some frantic calling I could hear her screaming. I found her downstairs and stuck under my neighbor's car up in the engine. It was awful.

Welcome home, Twix!

Welcome home, Twix!

Thank goodness your neighbor didn't need to use the car before you found her.

I'm happy your cat is home and safe now Staro. We had similar incident with my sister's cat Lulu this spring when she got
lost. We searched for her many hours and called her name. But she didn't show up. Later on evening we went to see if she
had go to our garage and there she was. She meow and was scared. Poor kitty had been whole day long closed in the garage.
Lulu had probably gone inside when the door was open and left there when we closed the door.

I had a cat one time named Chewbacca, who took a day trip!
He was an inside/outside cat, so I really didn't think anything of him disappearing one day.
I was cooking dinner when the phone rang, and it was animal control. He had been found in a town about 5 miles from where I lived at the time. How he got there is a mystery to this day! Thank goodness I had a collar on him with his name, and phone number on it.
