Me too! One of the highlights of my life was touring The Ponderosa at Lake Tahoe. I even considered getting married in the church on the main street of the Bonanza set but ended up picking a different spot.I loved Bonanza....

No.You got married at Petticoat Junction didn't you?
....then you have those who ask for a soda....cripes this sugar saturated crap is hard to figure huh?...My wife, being from the East Coast by way of Indiana, used to get very confused when, in asking her if she wanted something to drink, I'd ask her "What kind of coke do you want?" Now "coke" in the vernacular of southern Arkansas hillbilly -speak was a very generic term for ANY kind of soda or pop type drink, so when someone asked you "What kind of coke do you want?" You might reply with Dr. Pepper, Mountain Dew, or even Pepsi....I always thought it was funny the momentary look of confusion she would get when I asked her this. She always calls them "pop" which sounds bizarre as hell when I try to substitute "pop" for "coke". It just doesn't sound right...lol
LOL, yep her brother calls everything "soda". Darn flatlanders....then you have those who ask for a soda....cripes this sugar saturated crap is hard to figure huh?...
...if they didn't "port" the damn thing it would rip our little fingers to shreds....I enjoy a .45 cal, but would most certainly give the Eagle it's due respect....The recoil isn't as bad as you might think it would be. It has a kick but I was expecting it to jump out of my hand, so I had a two handed death grip the first time I shot one. I put about four magazines thru the weapon. About $60.00 worth of ammo in about five or ten minutes....lol I did feel it in my wrists the next morning, especially my right wrist (right handed), it was somewhat sore. Fun as hell to shoot. 7 rounds per mag of .325 grain ammo. I took great pleasure in knowing I was shooting a round that used to be used to fire at aircraft...lol not the actual round, the .50 pistol round is shorter but it's still a .50
...I avoid the whole damn conflict by ordering beer my brother....LOL, yep her brother calls everything "soda". Darn flatlanders
....even though the image of gun owning Americans, seems to be one of froth-mouthed mania...I love my guns and use them as intended...I am a handgun enthusiast, though I own a short stocked Mossberg 500 in 12 gauge with a rail light...long guns have never done a whole lot for me, though my .22 rifle was a close friend as a kid...I so envy you. The gun laws in The UK are so tight it is almost impossible to own a pistol. I Live in Italy now and you can own a shot gun but not much else. I do miss shooting...
My FFL guy says the reason there are so many used Desert Eagles for sale is 'cause there're such beasts to fire....if they didn't "port" the damn thing it would rip our little fingers to shreds....I enjoy a .45 cal, but would most certainly give the Eagle it's due respect....
...I'm sure, but I'd love to try...big guy with big mitts like me-might not suffer as much...My FFL guy says the reason there are so many used Desert Eagles for sale is 'cause there're such beasts to fire.
Yeah, me too. But if I owned one it'd have to be .50cal. How many .50cal autos are even made? What I'd buy before that though would be a Dirty Harry S&W .44mag just like in the movie. I've got three .44mags now, a Colt Anaconda, a Dan Wesson, and a Ranch Hand or Mare's Leg....I'm sure, but I'd love to try...big guy with big mitts like me-might not suffer as much...
Yep, .50 cal was fun to shoot, but unless I was independently wealthy or a gun collector, something like that, it isn't a very efficient weapon. You definitely know you are holding a powerful handgun. Lot of weight to it. We rented one out in Las Vegas a few years back while we were at a class. There's a gun shop/shooting range out there, can't remember what it was called, but you can rent just about anything short of a rocket launcher and test fire it. We split the rental and a few boxes of ammo three ways so it wasn't too bad. I wanted to rent and test fire a SAW, but I couldn't get the other two dopes I was with to go in with me on it. I guess your boy could fill us in on the specifics of that weapon. Hope he's well btw sir....if they didn't "port" the damn thing it would rip our little fingers to shreds....I enjoy a .45 cal, but would most certainly give the Eagle it's due respect....
Keep it simple...I hear ya, always a good plan....I avoid the whole damn conflict by ordering beer my brother....
That's why I order beer, too. One syllable....I avoid the whole damn conflict by ordering beer my brother....
I've got a P38. They are the most beautiful handgun everI really envy you guys with guns, I too got the most fun from shooting pistols, I had a WWII Walther P38 that was nice to shoot. I think I will have to visit The South just to have a few days shooting. when I win the lottery...
