While we were in Deadwood we stayed at the historic Franklin hotel. It was built in 1903. So there have been updates through the years, but they have tried to keep it as original as possible, and still have amenities for the guests. We loved it there.

I did not notice the first day, but the 2nd morning, we were waiting on the elevator and I noticed someone, at some point in time, had scratched REDRUM in the elevator door. The light had to hit it just right, they had done a good job of cleaning it up but when the light hit it just right you could see it.

I think graffiti and that sort of stuff is disrespectful, especially in a historic setting...But it gave me a chuckle to see REDRUM there, in Deadwood. ;-D
If I'd seen it I would have needed a witness, just to be sure I wasn't hallucinating. Hehhehheh.

Recently browsing thru pictures of art installations on a company's webpage and one photo was a large art piece hung over the fireplace, with large bookshelves on each side, one side was completely stocked with what I could tell was almost the complete Stephen King Library. Random, but what this thread is for.

Don't know if there has been a thread like this before but figured this would be fun.
I was watching an episode of Impractical Jokers last night and one of the people on there referenced Stephen King and that got me thinking of all the odd times or places something Stephen King has popped up in my life.
Such as your co-worker you have been working with for years is reading SK at lunch and come to find out they are a huge fan as well, or your at Disney world and someone has on a Pennywise shirt (not the band). Your watching your favorite mainstream sitcom comedy and you spot a copy of Cujo on the bookshelf. You get the point.
Share any times that Sai King has unexpectedly popped into your daily life.

Oh and I have to share this one, I was recently walking in the Mall with my better half, and both of us having a fair amount of tattoos I tend to notice others with them as well. But this instance I was observing a lady with this awful bunch of tattoos, that at first all I could notice was her entire arm was tattooed like corn stalks and corn, bright yellow corn and green stalks. And randomly placed throughout was the badly done portraits of multiple children. I turned to my girl and said, ohh my did you see that lady with her whole arm done like corn and those bad portraits of her kids? She looked at me and said, umm duhh "Children of the corn" I couldn't believe I didn't catch that!! I was just so mesmerized with the poor application that it didn't even register.
Also on a side note, I hope this lady is not on here, if so sorry, I can suggest a great artist to fix that up for you.

Anyways lets hear your stories cause I know almost everyone has one.

Dorothy getting Stephen King books for Sophia on The Golden Girls.

I don't know if this was an intentional reference to SK but it's too much of a coincidence not to put here.

In Final Fantasy III for the nes there's a scene where you into the sewers and meet some clowns.
