I've just learned that the Stephen King Library has not been licensed to sell THE OUTSIDER or any other new books for the foreseeable future. It was not made clear if members have been advised of this so wanted to make sure we posted that here so that members would be aware that they will need to buy this and any future publications elsewhere.

Well this is an interesting development. I'm not a member of this so it won't affect me, but I know that Scott is. GNTLGNT

...link me?....I must be blind....
This was updated in News from what Marsha posted

THE OUTSIDER will not be available through The Stephen King Library or any of Bookspan's clubs, and neither will any Stephen King books coming down the foreseeable road. Stephen King Library members should get their books for future releases elsewhere and by other means.

So if one has been a member since the beginning and no new published King books will be available and one has already received all of the books that were available to members, then there's no reason to be a member anymore, right?
not a member, so no idea. Is this their link? Is so, it appears there is an issue .

The information I gave Jordan is not different from what I posted-- it's just worded a little differently. They won't be licensed to publish any new books going forward so if you have everything they've already listed in the SKL, there wouldn't be any reason for new purchases.

....I had no issue with anything you wrote Marsha, simply thought that Jordan had added something after I had read both Threads....me being me, I was curious as to what had precipitated the event....that's where my "explanation" wording came from.....

....that is their so called website....I've no doubt that they have tried some shenanigans and got caught.....you don't play with the King juggernaut.....
Their customer service and inattention to their website have been an on-going source of frustration both for fans and us. I don't know if that is the only or even "the" reason why licensing will not be continued for new books.

Should have quoted Spidey in my reply as well as that's what I was actually responding to with it being updated information.

My error, I thought the wording of Bookspan's Clubs added something new.

....I can see that.....the lower sale price was the only thing that kept me a member....I've seen pre-teens make better websites, and my cat would provide better customer service-even in the middle of brewing a furball eruption.....
