...I applaud the gesture...Gold Medal for them!...
I'll fess up... I have no idea what LGBQ stands for, I'd just made the change to the thread title as AnnaMarie had asked.Guessing I'm going to sound really dumb here but what does the Q stand for in LGBQ? I'm aware of the LGB part but not the Q.

You could be right... I've looked at another site and it is saying that it could stand for either. I'm not sure what to do--am open for suggestions.I think the Q is for "questioning" but I'm not sure either

It's actually the idea of the gay community, to include any person of sexual orientation that doesn't necessarily fit into any specific category so that everybody is represented.Ok, I just looked it up... really? "Queer"? Is this an acceptable title in the gay community, because if it isn't I'd like to remove it from the thread title.
My understanding was they were taking back the word. People I know IRL refer to themselves as queer. However, it may be acceptable in some places, but not in others. Since the entire intent of the thread is support, not offence, I think it's best if you use LGBT instead.
And if my original suggestion offended anyone I sincerely apologize.
