Dear Mr. King,
I do not expect this letter to ever be read by you in person, which is the main reason, why I did put it off for so long. However, I decided that it had to be done anyway.
I wanted to thank you for so many hours you made me able to spend with you, listening to your stories, fearing, hoping, laughing, shivering, being sad, happy, mad, relieved and carried away. Sometimes feeling like these things are really happining somewere.
I personally don´t think that it is the gory, horrifying stuff, which makes your stories so great. I think this it is indeed a necessary part, which creates tension and provides meaning and weight to the actions of the characters, but in my mind, it is the exceptionally realistic way that your characters act, faced with unrealistic things.
I cannot explain why, but somehow it was important to me to express my gratefulness for the joy which your work brought into my life.
Thank you!
