Hello Mr. King,
You have probably heard these words before, but it never hurts to say thank you. Thank you for writing “On Writing”.
It has sat on my bookshelf for several years now always staring back at me saying “You want to read me, you know you do” and I always put it off with the excuse I don’t have the time to read let alone write. A little over a year ago I finally sat down and started working on a story I had set aside years ago. I finished its second rewrite a month ago and have done a lot of reading ever since so the story would be fresher in my mind when I go back and kill my darlings as you so perfectly put it.
I just finished “On Writing” and I wanted to say thank you for sharing not only your knowledge but your personal truths. When we write from the heart it’s always good, even when it's bad.
Sincerely,
Janeen Calaway
