    seems to be the best novel by SK. Almost ideal. Full of fury, scary and depressive. Bares slight resemblance to HP Lovecraft works but that is also great. A work of a true writer, indeed.

    Sorry, but after all the years of being here I've come to realize that the idea of there being a "best" for everybody is just not going to happen. I'll repeat my previous statement that it is subjective. If that's what resonates for you, then yes, a particular book is going to be your "best" but that does not make it so for everyone no matter how many of the points it ticks off because everyone has their own checklist.

    It's good, but certainly not the best for me. SK moves the characters around in such a chess-like way that it begins to turn me off by the latter half.
