Don't get me started with that. Many troubles. I still have a valid licence, but not in this State.
This has happened before. My birth certificate does not match my name or any other paperwork now. They refuse all paperwork that I have.

My passport expired, need to get another in order to get licence validated.
So I am cruising, till the valid runs out. I tried, 3 times with them in this State. I have to get another passport to show them it's me. ? I don't get that, but I guess I will.

Hey, it's me. Born here. Parents were too. G'parents came as youngsters from Ireland.. Been driving since 16 yrs old.
Just traveled out of the country and had a bit of a name change while there.. Seemed like a good idea at the time.

ack. It's probably only get worse now.

Tip - don't do any legal name changing things out of the Country.

Do you have the legal name change papers from out of the country? Showing your old name and what you changed it to. Did you change it back when you returned? If so , that legal document. That should be proof.

I still have the same last name from change. The document has white-out on it, that's why it was refused in both DE and NJ. I honestly don't remember how it got by in PA, but still legal for now.

It's a mess that I am putting off. I've tried calling for official papers with no luck. I will just get the passport. I am still confused why that works. But will just get another passport.

I can't imagine what people are going thru now, if this was happening before..

And I want my last name back. Family. I will never give up my name again.

Does your expired passport have the name you desire? Less strict proof for a passport.

You also need to consider what name is on CC/ banks/ and most important your SS.
You can appeal to a court for a name change back to the birth name. It does cost $. Maybe contact legal aide for help.

Thanks, but only thing different now is my Birth Certificate. Everything else has been changed.
I already have a lawyer. Me? Yes. Yikes. A tax one helping me from all this mess - he can't find any paperwork either. No help or info from ex. And that is looking for info as to how to file. So still filing the same.

Sorry to burden the boards with this!

It will work out.

I was told yesterday by someone, that to currently renew a DL here, you now need a passport, your social security card and your last electric bill to prove who you are...??? I don't have or need a passport - will I have to get one to keep my DL?! I call BS on the DMV. Dirty crooks.
