thruout the series the fall of Gilead is mentioned often. Is there a book that elaborates on what happened? if not, i wonder if King ever thought about writing the story - maybe something like TWttKH - a throw back, Roland telling the story during some downtime.

The Dark Tower: The Fall of Gilead is a six-issue comic book limited series published by Marvel Comics.[1] It is the penultimate story arc of five based on Stephen King's The Dark Tower series of novels. It is plotted by Robin Furth, scripted by Peter David, and illustrated by Richard Isanove. Stephen King is the Creative and Executive Director of the project. The first issue was published May 13, 2009.

If Stephen King didn't actually write it, I'm not interested. Just like the new Star Wars movies. I may eventually watch it, but it doesn't count!
Smooth, kingricefan and GNTLGNT like this.

...then you're cheating yourself....the troupe headed by Robin Furth did a great job of spinning a faithful extrapolation of what little info King gave us....
