Hi.I am here! Missed ya, Morgan!
The end of chapter 10 is where Dave's going to start telling his story. I didn't want to put it down - I'll start reading it again tonight or tomorrow. It's a re-read for me. I feel sorry for Sam, since he is so confused for most of the first part.
I like Naomi/Sarah very much. She's someone who knows struggle, but has kept a kind heart. So, who is your favorite character so far?
Yes! it's just starting to get good! LOLThe end of chapter 10 is where Dave's going to start telling his story. I didn't want to put it down - I'll start reading it again tonight or tomorrow.
Yes, and she is strong.I like Naomi/Sarah very much. She's someone who knows struggle, but has kept a kind heart.
I had my suspicions about that from Sam's reaction to his surreal first trip to the library. I really felt bad for him when he started questioning his sanity. What were your thoughts when Sam realized that A. Lortz might not be a living person?
Me too! I have Swan Song on my to-read short list.I liked the Misery (Paul Sheldon) reference. I enjoyed SK's reference to his own books in the library. It was cool to see SK mention McCammon's Swan Song, since I just finished my first book by him and am hoping to read SS in the next few months.
Exactly! He seems like such a nice guy, but it obvious that he is repressing something painful early on.I had my suspicions about that from Sam's reaction to his surreal first trip to the library. I really felt bad for him when he started questioning his sanity.
I have a feeling he'll start fully realizing his repressed memory after Dave finishes his story.Exactly! He seems like such a nice guy, but it obvious that he is repressing something painful early on.
What a cool observation! I read this first, so didn't "see" that but can now! I can't imagine how growing up with Sai King as father would shape a person/writer.I had a strong sense of Joe Hill's NOS4A2 from the library poster! He must've had some inspiration from this story.
Can't wait to discuss the rest next week.I have a feeling he'll start fully realizing his repressed memory after Dave finishes his story.
Nope. It must be a Northern thing. I had never heard of it either.I must be one of the only ones who've never heard of the library policeman urban legend!
