I think I've just figured out what I'd like my Super-Power to be! (Wrong thread, I know. ) I'd like the ability to grant wishes... (and maybe take one for myself now and again) I would be a King-Kon-er were this to come to pass.

Have fun you guys and please be generous in your story telling after the event.
....oh we'll make sh*t up about EVERYTHING!!!!......:biggrin2:

...and her'e something to kick around amongst us all....looking to the next Kon...I propose skipping next year and holding one in Colorado in 2016...this way, we will have time to save the money and get plans in place...just my thought, because I honestly feel that trying to do one of these every year is too financially draining and would allow a bigger attendance when they ARE held...

Agreed! I might could plan for that, and the Ogre would really like to go to Colorado again.

What is in Colorado? (Besides a Rocky Mountain High according to John Denver)? :cool2: :tounge: :umm: Seriously I am not joking. Call me an ignorant Canuck but what is the significance of Colorado (other than that pot is legal there? ;)

The Stanley Hotel is a 140-room neo-Georgian hotel in Estes Park, Colorado. Located within sight of the Rocky Mountain National Park, the Stanley offers panoramic views of the Rockies. It was built by Freelan Oscar Stanley ofStanley Steamer fame and opened on July 4, 1909, catering to the rich and famous, including the RMS Titanic survivorMargaret Brown, John Philip Sousa, Theodore Roosevelt, the Emperor and Empress of Japan, and a variety of Hollywood personalities.[2] The hotel and its surrounding lands are listed on the National Register of Historic Places.[1]

The Stanley Hotel also hosted the horror novelist Stephen King, inspiring him to write The Shining. Parts of the televisionmini-series version of The Shining were filmed there, whereas Stanley Kubrick's cinematic adaptation The Shining was filmed at another resort hotel, the Timberline Lodge in Oregon (besides Elstree Studios in England).
