Well....it's $250 to fly on American Airlines roundtrip to Columbus.
What is the nearest Amtrak Station to Mansfield?
It seems like there will be driving involved no matter what.

From what I could find there are two Amtrak stations close to Mansfield ( it said within 30 miles)
Sandusky, OH and Elyria, OH

...thanks dear-one...those stations are much further than 30 miles from Mansfield...probably be simpler and cheaper to just rent a ride equipped with GPS...

I like to take the train when I can, but it looks like it gets me just about as close as flying does.
Guess no matter how I go (if I don't just drive a car the whole way) I'll have to rent a car or take a short bus ride.

We've been busy .... working on the new house and dealing with Jeff's mom .... looking forward to seeing you all soon !
...so are we honey, just a month away now....
It's my first time meeting some of Jeff's family members as well .... plus getting me a Titan burger in Ottowa ! Can't wait to see where Teddy grew up ..... ! also meeting my fav GNTL teddy ....

Hey there - never heard of a Titan burger (and I did live in Ottawa in the 80s) - hope all is going well with you both - only a month to go! wow
dunno if my first King Con is gonna be this year...
one co-worker already is out on a vacation day that Friday and the other is out on maternity leave
basically if I take the train to Sandusky and then rent a car I could have all day Friday and all day Saturday leaving early Sunday morning...but I'd arrive in Sandusky at 4:15 a.m. Friday morning LOL
the good news is that only costs $92 round trip, which leaves plenty for renting a car
if I wasn't able to take Friday off it wouldn't really work too well since I'd only have from 5 a.m. Saturday til 5 a.m Sunday and that doesn't include getting back and forth from Sandusky to Mansfield
gonna see if the woman on maternity leave will be back and working that Friday and then I'll know for sure if it's just not realistic

I would love to have the freedom to travel and have the money to do so.
I am hoping my radio show does get syndicated, sponsors and such,
because there is so much cool things, I would love to go to,
but like most people don't have the funds
