I wonder if the '73 version is purchasable in a brick-and-mortar store like Movie Stop or only off of Warner Archives on Youtube? Wonder when they started doing that?

For some I guess based on this study. For me The Exorcist (which was #2) is.
The Shining did not scare me . . .The Exorcist did and still does. It's the only movie that ever really has. Sure, there are some that make me wonder, WTF! . . .but that's about it . . .The Exorcist SCARES me.
I never understood that. For some I guess based on this study. For me The Exorcist (which was #2) is.

Correct. In the movie what does she do except scream whenever she has an oppurtunityFor me, the Shining movie is absolute ****. It butchered the book which is a masterpiece. I remember watching it when I was 8 years old and even then I wasn't scared. Last week, I decided to refresh my memory since I was reading Doctor sleep and I almost reached out and chocked Wendy. The Wendy in the movie is NOTHING like the character. it's like comparing an empty vase to a full one. Period.
I thought the book was much scarier than the movie. When it first came out in the 70s it was very shocking back then. Now I think there is a lot more cult/Satan/evil junk out there and people are starting to get acclimatized or immune to it, which is actually quite sad.I worry about the inner workings of anyone who says they don't find the Exorcist scary. Those people I tend to give a wide berth when they come near me.
Eh. I don't see it. It had its moments, but... meh.For some I guess based on this study. For me The Exorcist (which was #2) is.
