Having been in military communications, I can tell you without a doubt that they have their own power sources and self-reliant communications equipment. That's totally believable. But, just because this guy says so? Without some proof, I'm skeptical about who he is or who he's been talking to. Might just be a clever ruse to get the soldiers to protect him.

I've no doubt the military would have something to communicate. But not the scientist guy. And the guy protecting him....seems more a grunt then anything else. I think his heart is in the right place, but Doesn't seem extremely bright. Smart in the stayin alive during a zombie apocalypse kind if way, but not someone high up in the army.

And since he was adamant about safety in numbers....why were there only three of them? Do you think mr. Scientist intentionally shot up the truck so they could go with Glenn? I don't logically know why, but I think that's what he did.

There's field equipment too. Communication isn't the problem. But you're absolutely right about the rest. If they're from a base, where are the rest of the grunts? Where are the officers? Why leave a secure base with better fences than prisons have? It's fishy.
And I think you're right about the truck, too. With glen and the girl, that makes 2 more people that have to protect him and his 'cure'.

And what's up with this "sanctuary" deal? Makes me think of the soldiers in 28 days later, where they offered safety and a cure, only they tried to kill the guy and rape the women. It could be a trap.

I loved 28 Days Later. I almost wish I'd never watched it because it's difficult not to compare other movies and shows with zombie-like creatures to it... I don't think it will ever be topped.

I just watched The Talking Dead. They showed a still of the scene where Rick drops from the roof of the house to escape the intruders. The text note said, Andrew Lincoln performs many of his own stunts, including the drop from the roof. He says the most dangerous part was being distracted by Norman Reedus who was mooning him from below.

I haven't seen Flake in a while... I hope she's ok. I wonder if she was able to convince her network to pick up The Talking Dead. Daryl and Beth are quests next week.

Here is my simple question-Is the same person who is mowing the lawns-planting the corn? LOL

I was wondering why the houses this week are clean and stocked. It's been about 2 years? (Laurie got pregnant, had the baby, and the baby is now about a year old.). Every single house in America would have been emptied in that time.

I trained in radio telecommunications. Ratt Cheese!

One of the first things we were taught was that you signify the end of your current transmission with "over." At several points through those weeks, somebody would invariably ask "What the f**k, over?" I still say it to this day, complete with the "over" part. Since my ex and I trained in the same unit (how we met) the kids picked it up. They say it to this day, too.
