I think it was good.Anyone watch the "so far" special last night? Just wonder if it is worth watching, or just skipping it.
If you had someone who hasn't watched and wanted them to be able to sit down and watch the premiere and be 90% caught up, then this show will do it. Very well done in compacting all you really need to get core story and events down.Anyone watch the "so far" special last night? Just wonder if it is worth watching, or just skipping it.
What's ironic is the current object of hatred (Dwight) was the basis from the comics for Daryl in the show.View attachment 18054 three days!

Yup. If they follow the comics, we'll see quite a bit more of him.Guess that explains the Robin Hood routine. Well, crossbow, but you know.
Not sure about the show, but there's a really good comic issue that goes over the stories of most characters in the series. Let me see if I can find a link for you.I would be interesting in seeing his backstory.
Be aware if you read the comics, it may ruin some things for you. They've taken turns and brought in new characters not in the books, deaths and survivors are somewhat different too, but it could spoil stuff for you.I would be interesting in seeing his backstory.
I think Daryl was a mistake. He took the best bits of Abraham and Tyrese (as the show went on--at first, he was just another stock 'redneck' character--must have felt it was necessary since the show is set in GA), and that left those characters essentially gutted. In particular, Tyrese in the show was FAR from comic Tyrese.Be aware if you read the comics, it may ruin some things for you. I will say this, the Dwight in the comics is different in some ways, and also did not show up until about the same timeline point as the show is at now. Daryl was not in the comics at all, and a lot of his actions I cant assign to other characters.
For the record I stay current with comics, which is currently at issue #159. The point the show has reached, the first meeting with Negan, takes place in issue #100 in the comics. So to gauge the story point differences, it took 6 seasons to do 100 issues. That means there is approximately 3.5 seasons worth of content available to cover. In the meantime, the comic will add an additional 50 issues approximately. Essentially if the comic continues at its current pace and the show does too, they will always stay about 3 years ahead.
Thank you Hossenpepper...I have not read the comics, but enjoy the show very much!.Be aware if you read the comics, it may ruin some things for you. They've taken turns and brought in new characters not in the books, deaths and survivors are somewhat different too, but it could spoil stuff for you.
