Awwww - baby raccoons are so adorable! I think they call them 'kits'.

Unfortunately they grow up to be big wild animals (well at least that was our experience).

In the past (the 70s) people gave our family raccoons (on two different occasions) that had become too large to handle, and they thought we could take care of them because we lived in the country!

Living in a rural area, coons are a part of the wildlife. They have plenty of shelter in the woods, besides my others critters would not enjoy them as bed-mates.
