Long as Natalie Portman is in the movie...that's all the reason I need to go see it.....I went and saw Thor last night. Fecking brilliant! I can't wait for you guys to see it so we can talk about it.
Loki is even MORE... Loki in this one.
Total spoiler ahead. I mean it. Don't look if you don't want to know.Oh... Thank you for this thread, Lepplady! I have been thinking about the movie for the whole week, since I watched it last weekend. I just love it! And I became a huge fan of Tom Hiddleston (Loki), I adore him! I have seen a couple of other movie with him last week, he is a brilliant actor. And how awesome Loki is... I can't help thinking about him. Loki is such a complex character. You know that he is not good... but you also can't say he is evil. He has his reasons for doing what he is doing sometimes. Maybe, that is what is so attractive about him - that you don't understand the character...
Well, I could talk about him for ages now... I'd better stop doing it now
I wonder, what do you think about the ending, those of you who have already seen Thor: The Dark World.Do you think Loki killed Odin? Er... Odin is immortal, so, that's kind of impossible... What really happened?
I suffer from the same affliction... it really annoys me. (I'm like one of those baby dolls that if you tip back just slightly, her eyes will close. ****e.)Ok, I liked it...and such happy viewing looking at that lovely man, I would have sat there even without sound!...but at a 10pm showing, after an extremely long day, silence has its issues...yup, I was that person who woke themselves up with a wee snore, right in a quiet bit. Awesome. My partner thinks thats hilarious...sigh. That has no bearing on the quality of the movie...I was enjoying it...right up to that moment where I thought, firstly "oh the shame" quickly followed by "oh...that makes no sense...how much did I miss?". A lot apparently, as the credits rolled shortly after. I'll perve again when it comes out on DVD...and maybe fill in the storyline gaps.
Total spoiler ahead. I mean it. Don't look if you don't want to know.
Butthey're not immortal. Odin's father is dead, and so is Thor's mother. They can doe.
But I think it's more Loki's style to make Odin suffer the same kind of indignancies he feels he suffered. I think Odin's alive, on some gruesome, horrible prison of Loki's design.
What? Thanks. Actually, I agree with you.I tend to think Odin is imprisoned somewhere... Though, I have heard on some interview with Enthony Hopkins that they really may kill Odin, and we won't see him in Thor 3. By the way, I also thought about still another variant - what if he fell into lethargic sleep again, like in the first movie? Well, I guess we won't know until the next movie... or, at least, until The Avengers 2. They say that there will be no Loki in it, but I still hope that they will change this.
Unfortunately,What? No Loki in the next Avengers? Not worth watching. There's got to at least be a cameo.
