i thought the book was amazing. Extremely suspenseful with truly terrifying parts, mixed with fun good humor. I loved the book

Exactly. With mr. Mercedes, finders keepers, joyland and 11/22/63 to an extent all away from horror genre. End of watch on the way as well.
While reading the first few chapters I couldn't help but think that they were very similar to Richard Bachman's style of writing.
That's bc bachman is king lol. Great storytelling the first few chapters. Right with ya
Loved it and have read it a second time....gotta love the fast kinda thriller chase towards the end of the novel...with Hodges, Jerome and Holly trying to catch up with Peter...while Peter is trying to get home to save his mother and Tina from Morris, and then the confrontation with the notebooks at the abandoned Rec....it leads to an amazing climax...SK is really good with Crime Thriller
