It counts!!!I got some yard work done! That's strange.
You are welcome to send stromboli my way!!!We got snow, in Maryland, in March. Also, I made homemade strombolis for the boys who sledded down our back yard hill today.
Oh no! What happened? Did your house get flooded? You've got every right to be crying! And who gets bent out of shape over 2 mins? I hope things get better for you!I start work at 8.15am, at 8.16 as I was walking in the gate, my cell phone starts ringing - its my boss. I dont answer it thinking "ok well I'm here". Now bear in mind he knows I have got no stuff, no house, am staying miles away from where I work all due to the flooding plus he has been on holiday for a week. I walk in and he says "I tried to call you, since you're late"...I look at my watch and reply "its 8.17...".He then tells me, rudely that I start work at 8.15 and there is work to be done and he has better things to do than my job.
I can understand being spoken to about being a few minutes late if it happens all the time. It doesnt, until last week I live a 2 min walk from work and am never late. I also dont take my morning break...why would you when you only work till 1pm? and I rarely leave before 1.10pm...Its not a factory, there is no whistle, so I go when I have done everything I want to have done for the day.
I point this all out to him, trying very hard not to cry ( I am not a crier but for the last 48 hours I keep welling up...go figure)and he says "you start work at 8.15 and here is where you should be at 8.15, not still on your way" and walked off.
Thats my strange thing. I find it strange that anyone can be that unreasonable and unfair.
Also, random strange side note. My kids book about the Titanic, that has little pop out bits an such, was completely submerged in the flooded lounge...yet must have been so squished between books it stayed dry. Weird. The Unsinkable Book?
Winter, your boss sounds like an azzhat. I have had a similar experience with a boss who routinely has given less and less hours to me if I clock in even one or two minutes late. In a traffic jam, doesn't matter. Got stuck by a train plodding by? Tough. I am down to working 2 hours one evening per week at this place. Mind you, I am responsible and never call in unless deathly ill.I start work at 8.15am, at 8.16 as I was walking in the gate, my cell phone starts ringing - its my boss. Hey -I didn't recognize you - you're wearing green for St. Patrick's day, aren't you? Very clever. Please tell me this cutout of Harry Stiles (ridiculous) isn't in your house.I had to repair a six foot cardboard cutout of Harry something from "One Direction" for a 7th grade video. Thirteen year old girls are crazy... Every day!
LOL Guilty! He was in my daughter's room. Always scared the hell out of me when I wasn't expecting it. He got moved to the basement. Now he scares the hell out of everyone.Hey -I didn't recognize you - you're wearing green for St. Patrick's day, aren't you? Very clever. I grabbed a dictionary to look up a word and opened it to the exact page the word was on. Later, I opened a thick cookbook to find a recipe and landed on the correct page. It's got to be some sort of sign… but of what???

People who micromanage and are hypercritical like this are full of insecurity, and they compensate for it in by exercising control and mistreatment so that they're affirming their own ersatz superiority.I start work at 8.15am, at 8.16 as I was walking in the gate, my cell phone starts ringing - its my boss.
Nah. She was the only one who thought she was that powerful.Did your boss get blamed for the earthquake?
Apparently there must be some relationship between the earthquake and your boss having to resign. Or is this just a coincidence? So, today there was the largest earthquake in LA since the 90's AND my boss was forced to resign.
