1. Four past midnight, UK hardback.
I've always liked this ever since my dad had it in his book case. Even when I had no interest in reading as a kid this cover fascinated me.
2. I don't know which of these I prefer but as they are all the same book I figured they could all be joint second. Joyland (and there are many more good versions of this book).
3. Featuring the man himself (in silhouette) On Writing, UK paperback.
Almost making it just for the font alone, Christine, not sure which version.
As for remaking covers, there are so many that are not very good but a foreign version is way better so not many could be improved on. I mentioned joyland in my top 3 and found this amazing cover for it, I don't know if it's a real foreign cover or fan made. Anyone got any ideas?
